📢 Job Opening: HR Supervisor (Based in Maputo Headquarters)

We are hiring an experienced and detail-oriented HR Supervisor to be based at our Maputo Headquarters, responsible for overseeing HR operations across all company projects in Mozambique.

Key Responsibilities 👇

  1. Salary Management
  • Collect, verify, and compile monthly salary data from all project sites;
  • Finalize payroll sheets for local and foreign employees;
  • Coordinate with the finance department for salary disbursement.
  1. Social Security (INSS) Administration
  • Ensure accurate registration, contribution, and reporting of INSS for all employees;
  • Liaise with project HR teams to handle INSS-related updates, audits, and queries.
  1. Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Oversee onboarding, transfer, promotion, demotion, and exit processes across all sites;
  • Maintain up-to-date employee databases and personnel files;
  • Issue employment certificates, notifications, and related HR documentation.
  1. Labor Contract Management
  • Draft, review, renew, and terminate employment contracts in line with Mozambican labor law;
  • Monitor contract expiration and ensure timely renewals or closures.
  1. Compliance & Policy Enforcement
  • Ensure full compliance with labor laws, company regulations, and audit requirements;
  • Standardize HR practices across projects in accordance with corporate policies.
  1. Disciplinary Procedures
  • Guide and coordinate disciplinary actions including issuing warning letters, conducting hearings, and preparing case files;
  • Ensure all procedures follow due legal process as per the Labor Law (Lei n.º 13/2023).
  1. Reporting & Coordination
  • Report regularly to HQ and senior management on HR performance, risks, and staff status at each project site;
  • Supervise and support project-level HR clerks in executing HR duties effectively.

Requirements 💪

  1. At least 1 year of HR experience in a Chinese construction company (mandatory);
  2. Deep understanding of Mozambican labor law, INSS processes, and foreign employee compliance;
  3. Strong coordination skills and ability to manage multiple remote teams and projects;
  4. Fluent in English (working language);
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HR data management systems;
  6. Excellent attention to detail, discretion, and a sense of responsibility.
