Job Description / Descrição da Função

To clean all equipment on a regular basis. To prepare samples as and when required for testing. The assistant will ensure that the laboratory is clean at all times and will carry out all work-related instructions from the technicians.

(Limpar todo o equipamento regularmente. Preparar amostras conforme necessário para os testes. O assistente garantirá que o laboratório esteja sempre limpo e executará todas as instruções de trabalho dos técnicos.)

Responsibilities / Responsabilidades

• A General Labour is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the company equipment on a regularly basis.
• Conduct quality and safety inspections as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping and keep the workplace clean and tidy.
• Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
• Work in accordance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 17025 and 45001).
• Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Operational Integrity: Adopt safe behavior, comply with the Code of Integrity, report hazards, wear PPE, and ensure sustainable waste disposal.

Qualifications / Qualificações

• Grade 12 and/or proven years of laboratory experience.
• 02 years with similar activities.
• Sampling and preparation experience is advantageous in all laboratory divisions (soils, asphalt, seals, concrete/aggregate).
• Must be physically willing and able to work with, pick up and move samples.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
