Context
The Economic Security Generalist performs basic field and office work related to the implementation and monitoring of the ICRC's economic security program (EcoSec) under the close supervision and guidance of his/her line manager.
Descrição de tarefas
The incumbent performs the following activities in the department:
- Conduct assessments and monitor emergency response activities.
- Analyze the humanitarian and economic situation of the affected population.
- Prepare material and logistics for field trips.
- Collect field and other data using data collection tools and devices.
- Plan and organize beneficiary registrations and distributions.
- Maintains and updates databases. Provides written reports after field visits.
- Provide administrative support.
Profile - Minimum required and Experience:
- Secondary school diploma, technical education or professional degree in agriculture, social sciences, economics or a related field
- Good command (spoken and written) of English and Portuguese;
- Knowledge of the local language(s) is an advantage
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar field
- Experience working for an NGO or international organization is an advantage
