Job Description

As a Credit Control Assistant, you will be responsible for the following activities :

  • Control customer accounts. Carry out the systematic lettering (or matching) of the existing movements and minimize the number of “open items” (documents to be lettered);
  • Provide support to customer account supervisors to fully understand the real credit situation and possibly detect/solve any lapse that has occurred;
  • Support the Credit Control Manager in the preparation of reports, in the preparation of Credit Committee meetings, or in any other task that may prove necessary;
  • Breakdown of customer and other debtor account balances;
  • Request customer statements if necessary;
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts with the support of account supervisors, that is, in the event of a discrepancy between the balance defended by the customer and that of SAP, support supervisors in interpreting the charts and identifying the difference;
  • Regularization of customer movements if necessary (currency differences in lettering);
  • Send statements to account supervisors and/or customers if necessary to resolve outstanding issues and follow up on them;
  • Maintain and update the list of bank guarantees received from customers, sending alerts whenever they approach their end date or are not renewed in a timely manner;
  • Monitor Treasury Confirmation requests.

Candidate profile

As a Credit Control Assistant, ideally you will possess the following :

Solid knowledge of accounting (compulsory high school in Accounting).

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a team. Strict spirit.
  • Computer proficiency from the user's point of view (especially Excel and Word).
  • Spoken and written command of the Portuguese language. If possible, intermediate knowledge of English.
  • Ideally, prior knowledge of SAP, in particular the FI module.
