Position Synopsis
Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager, the purpose of this role is to optimize business efficiencies through systematically analyzing and defining business requirements and/or functional specifications. In addition, to develop and implement a continuous improvement pipeline.
Core Accountabilities
- Evaluate against the Financial standards and improvement model the value opportunity for each project and sign off as per the BI improvement process;
- Deep dive analysis of data to understand key bottlenecks and value drivers;
- Assist in developing pipeline and prioritization of projects using business evaluation criteria;
- Evaluate all technical projects in the organizational for financial viability;
- Assist in the value stream mapping and value driver tree analysis;
- Investigate key issues related to supply and procurement processes;
- Assist in commercial analysis with regards to contracting opportunities driven through improvement;
- Life of Operations (LoOP) and Closure analysis assistance to Planning and Projects;
- Business plan development and review including priorities and updates of dashboards and Operational review presentations;
- Validation of data on key financial and technical measures build into the budget;
- Update and review of plant wide improvement benefits;
- Update and governance of the KaiNexus or similar improvement system for Mozal;
- Facilitate and prioritize the idea generation process at Mozal;
- Understanding and implementation of the South32 Operating system at Mozal;
- Assist in value analysis of the operating philosophy;
- Organize facilitation sessions to achieve improvement outcomes.
Qualifications
- Potential candidates will have a Financial degree, preferably Chartered Accountant or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years in operations or projects that involved management accounting, financial accounting and business management evaluation;
- An MBA and knowledge of SAP System will be a distinct advantage.
