Main Purpose:

The Primary function of this role is to support the Operations, executing all Imported/ Project 3rd Party and export cargo to various destinations in the freight forwarding industry. It will be the primary responsibility and expectation for the on-site resource to support truck loading, warehouse management and operations in Beira.
This resource will play a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency, documentation management, inspection oversight, reporting, client relations, and overall seamless operations.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Industry experience in cross border logistics and freight forwarding essential;

- Experience with reviewing truck manifests, bills of lading, POD’s and other customs documents


- Strong MS Excel skills essential

- Process orientated with a good attention to detail;

- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks in fast changing environment;

- Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to aggressive deadlines

- Transport administration, reviewing customs documents, rates management, project reviews and

issuing purchase orders to vendors

- Strong communicator and fluent in English and Portuguese

- Strong systems knowledge (Navision, Navitrans & Qlikview);

Key Responsibilities

1. Documentation Management:

   - Assist with scanning pre-alerts directly to JHB, Zambia, Zimbabwe and DRC ops and clearing


   - Ensure a clear document trail for all loading/offloading operations.

   - Address issues arising from inconsistent document handling by drivers or warehouses.

   - Maintain accurate and organized documentation records.

- POD management

2. Inspection Oversight:

   - Oversee loadings/offloading’s to ensure compliance with operational standards.

   - Facilitate BV inspections when required.

   - Assist in pushing inspections to be completed promptly.

   - Address any issues or delays related to inspections.

3. Reporting and Damage Management:

   - Monitor and report on damages to cargo or packaging at the port/warehouse during


   - Provide timely updates on cargo condition and any issues encountered during loading/offloading.

   - Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to mitigate losses and address quality concerns.

4. Client Relations and Seamless Operations:

   - Ensure all loading/offloading processes occur seamlessly.

   - Serve as a point of contact for clients during loading operations.

   - Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders at a local level.

   - Uphold company standards for reliability, efficiency, and customer service.

5. Operational Support:

   - Act as an additional runner to expedite communication and response to operational challenges.

   - Provide support as needed to ensure operational objectives are met.

   - Collaborate with transporters, warehouses and other team members to optimize loading

- Daily tracking to be sent 10am

8. Warehouse management

- Ensure Warehouse handling is efficient and reports in line with Impala standards

- Stock inventory is managed and done

3. Maintenance of accurate records and documentation trails for all loading/offloading activities.
