- The successful candidate will have a minimum of Ten (10) years of progressive HR and/or IR experience, preferably with oil, gas or minerals industry.
- Experience in a related area that required networking, intensive problem analysis and solving, leadership and people management is required.
- Degree in Human Resources, Legal, Social Sciences, Industrial Relations, or related field from a recognized institution is required.
- Oral and written proficiency of Portuguese and English is required. Language fluency in Kimwani and/or Swahili (Is an advantage.
Specific experience in the following is required:
- Prior supervision and development of Human Resources, Employee Relations or Industrial Relations team(s) in a large industrial project is highly desirable.
- Experience in best practice social and labor performance and risk management within a financed project context highly desirable.
- Greenfield development project experience is highly desirable.
- Detailed knowledge of HR processes, policies and Mozambican labor law, preferably those governing the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience working HR-related matters with the Ministry of Labor.
- International or Global experience working with expatriate workforces.
- Experience in collaborating on potentially challenging and sensitive issues, including engaging diverse role-players and their agendas.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to build and maintain relationships within the Project and community.
- Efficient and effective consensus builder and decision-maker.
- Appreciation and respect for diverse cultures.
- Ability to listen and translate the needs and aspirations of stakeholder groups and communities to drive programs and mitigations as appropriate.
- Ability to liaise with various Project disciplines and stakeholders to satisfy business requirements.
- Ability to liaise and communicate productively with Contractor representatives and to professionally carry out onsite and offsite visits and gap analyses.
- Fully computer literate and proficient in standard software packages (MS Office, etc.).
- Proven experience prioritizing and managing multiple conflicting priorities.
- Experience working for a multi-national company preferred.
Activités
- Influence, guide and assist contractors and subcontractors on site, via the appropriate reporting hierarchies, to achieve compliance with Company Management Plans, Mozambique Labour Law, international best practice HR and Industrial Relations Management policies, practices and procedures as well as ILO conventions.
- Responsible for the formal and informal gap analyses of on and offsite Experience working for a multi-national company preferred. contractor and subcontractor practices to monitor and measure progress and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate meetings with specific key stakeholder groups/individuals, identified through stakeholder prioritization, to monitor the project’s social license.
- Implements and maintains Human Resources strategic and operational initiatives and programs;
- Provides advice to the project leadership team and interfaces with the Ministry of Labor, Immigration and other local government as well as non-government bodies
- Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policy and long-term goals of the organization;
