About Good Neighbors Mozambique

Brief History of the Project
The project “Improvement of Reproductive, Maternal and Adolescent Health in Sofala-Mozambique” implemented by Good Neighbors in partnership UNFPA (UNFPA) aims to address the issues of Sexual Reproductive Health in the most affected Districts by Cyclone IDAI in Sofala Province.
The intervention will be carried out in 4 districts namely: Beira, Dondo, Nhamatanda and Buzi at the community level and secondary schools.
Activity 1. Provide training for community health workers (Activists) regarding family planning, care for pregnant women, provision of modern family planning methods such as pills, injections, and condoms, youth health, and counselling (including GBV awareness and referral.)
Activity 2. Support the mobile brigades at the community level
Activity 3. Provide training for adolescent girls through mentorship program is schools and surrounding communities
Qualification
Reproductive health specialist
(*Doctorate degree in reproductive health is highly desirable, but not essential)
A degree in areas of MCH (Maternal and Child Health) or SRH (Sexual and Reproductive Health), Public Health from a recognized institution is required.
Location: Good Neighbors Mozambique office, Beira- Sofala. With frequent trips to the target districts.
Working Experience
Reproductive health specialist - with more than 5 years professional experience in Medicine or Public Health
Promotion of Community Health Systems (Working with Community Health Activists)
Working with Adolescent and People of Reproductive Age
Experience in providing Sexual and Reproductive Health Services at the community level (Provision of Mobile Brigades)
In-depth knowledge of Project Coordination and Management in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health
HR management
Budget planning and management
Experience in behavior change communication;
Knowledge of project monitoring tools;
Knowledge of the dimensions of human rights in sexual and reproductive health is an advantage;
Domain of Information and Communication Technology, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and other.
LANGUAGES Required: Fluency in English, Portuguese (both spoken and written)
