Global Recruitz is a boutique HR firm based in Mumbai, India and specialises in Leadership hiring. We have been retained by our client a prominent name in the Mining and Metals Industry to hire a Security Personnel including the Head of Security at their mining Operations in Mozambique.
Position : Head of Security
Job Summary
- Direct all operational security functions, including physical security and safety of employees, facilities and assets.
- Direct Intelligence processes and Aerial Surveillance management.
- Plan and manage all physical operations on the concession and inside the area of responsibility.
Main Functions/Tasks
• Ensure Compliance with policies on Human Rights, Regulations and Directives .
• Initiate, assess, process and implement all Intelligence actions.
• Manage and organize Operations Room to facilitate Watch keeping, Operational and Intelligence actions.
• Control, monitor and communicate to all operational personnel via phone, radio, briefings, meetings and verbally.
• Initiate investigations and keep record of incidents, accidents and other serious matters.
• Report back to the HOD Security on matters of concern and ongoing processes, actions and incidents.
• Planning and implementing security procedures for company.
• Coordinating various activities of security management system.
• Implementing rules and regulation of safe work environment.
• Preparing reports of security administration and presenting it to head of Security Department.
• Liaising with various other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure everybody should follow company Policies.
• Managing and supervising security staff on a 24/7 basis.
• Manage and Support the Aerial Surveillance capability.
• Security related intelligence report to department HOD.
• Provide human rights awareness training and other training
• Monitoring and handling current security programs.
• Keeping track on different events in mine. Like Visitor, VIP and Govt. Department.
• Conducting surveys or investigations of major loss or misappropriation of property.
• Participating in emergency situations to solve critical problems.
• Taking necessary actions to maintain safe work environment.
• In depth knowledge of security environment.
• Effective interaction with security staff.
• Exceptional supervisory skills.
• Extremely creative thinking and professional.
• Exceptionally result oriented and self-motivated.
• Effectual multitasking skills.
• Strong ability to face critical and dangerous situations.
Experience: Must have 15 years' experience or more in Armed forces and other security agencies. A competent professional with close to two decades of experience in an Armed force, mining and private security Management environment.
Training: Qualified and trained Security Professional with industrial and mining experience.
