EXPERIENCE: Five years of mid-to-senior level public health experience in developing, implementing and evaluating HIV prevention programs or other relevant public health programs that involve coordination with an international agency or implementing partner is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Comprehensive knowledge of current HIV/AIDS issues, HIV counselling and testing, key populations, pre exposure prophylaxis community engagement and HIV treatment is required. An in-depth knowledge of the range of HIV prevention programs, policies, regulations and precedents applicable to development and administration of national/international public health program is required. Detailed knowledge of the host government health care system and structures including familiarity with MOH policies, program priorities and regulations is required

Education Requirements:

Master degree in Public Health Science , Medicine, Nursing, or host country equivalent degree is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Fluency - ( speaking/reading/writing) in Portuguese is required. This may be tested.

Fluency - ( speaking, writing) in English is required. This may be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong oral and written communications skills are required to develop and maintain effective, sustainable working relationships with national and international working partners. Strong leadership skills are required to lead results-driven project teams and workgroups. Ability to analyze, understand and discuss new program design, management and implementation approaches is required. This includes the development of surveys, evaluation designs, use of reliable and valid instruments, and methods for data collection, analysis and reports.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: 5 years of responsible work experience in a sales, marketing, business management, trade promotion, market/economic research or information management environment within the Mozambique market is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Thorough knowledge of the domestic economy, commercial, governmental and industrial structures, business and industry customs and practices and trade and investment laws, regulations and policies. Thorough understanding of Commercial Services' trade promotion goals, programs and procedures, marketing strategies and reporting requirements or ability to learn them quickly.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or host country equivalent in economics, accounting, marketing, international trade or business administration.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:
English level – Fluent - Written/Speaking/Reading is required. This may be tested.
Portuguese level - Fluent - Written/Speaking/Reading is required. This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Ability to develop and maintain an extensive range of mid to high-level contacts in the host government and private sector; to plan, organize and execute complex commercial research projects; to prepare precise and accurate reports embodying in-depth analytical evaluations; and to render advice with objectivity and employing sound professional judgment. Use of industry standard word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, and information management databases is required. Strong interpersonal, diplomatic and motivational skills are required. Ability to draft accurate and detailed business correspondence requiring minimal editing. Ability to prioritize tasks.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  

Two years of experience in grants or project management in a professional environment and two years’ experience working in the environment, science, technology, or health field is required. 

JOB KNOWLEDGE: 

Must have understanding of grants or project management, including the pre-award, award, post-award, and closeout phases of the grants cycle. Must have specific knowledge of political, economic, and cultural environment in Mozambique.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree. A university Bachelor's degree in development, economics, natural, environmental, or physical science.

Writing, analytic, and computer skills may be tested as part of the application process.

Requirements:

JOB KNOWLEDGE:


Must have good working knowledge of shipping, customs regulations and procedures.  Must know the location of customs and shipping offices, airport and local officials involved in customs and shipment activities for US Mission to Mozambique. 

Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required.

Evaluations:

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to deal with public is required.  Must be able to use Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Calendar, Excel and be able to input data in office systems.  Possession of valid Mozambican Class B driver's license is required.
