Short Description/ Purpose of Job

 

Leads the commissioning and start-up team effort and operations to ensure production volumes by applying expert technical knowledge and ensure maximum equipment availability through managing personnel, systems and processes

 

Recruitment Description/ Key Accountabilities

 

Responsible for departmental Document management

Manage Chemicals and other Consumables, inventory and interface with Materials Management;

Develop and Review First Line Maintenance task lists for Production;

Develop Task list for routine Inspection and First Line Maintenance;

Develop and Review Production Checklists, Process Reading and Inspection sheets;

Prepare and Maintenance Long outstanding report and Plant uptime;

Lead, manage and follow up on Bypass Override reports;

Manage, issue Permit-To-Work Exemptions

Lead and Follow Up on Management of Change;

Capture and Maintain Departmental Health, Safety and Environment data

Lead, manage Works managements processes

Interface with Maintenance on planned activities;

Participate on Maintenance Strategy review;

Be responsible for validating content of training modules;

Manage and lead a commissioning production team taking overall responsibility for managing performance and team training and development; Coordinate all maintenance and plant commissioning activities; Commissioning status feedback reporting to management.

Provide Plant Support Information and perform Plant Process activities

Manage Plant Hazardous Materials process

Ensure plant operating specifications and product quality requirements

Assist and reinforce operational team regarding inspection of plant and equipment

Ensure Equipment safe-making and handover to maintenance

Execute Plant Distributed Control System (DCS) Functions

Perform Plant Emergency Shutdown (ESD) Controls functions

Actively participate in Maintenance planning and scheduling;

Prepare Audit Evidence Packs;

MANAGEMENT

Provides adequate feedback to Area Manager Production on work progress

Participates in root cause analyses, and provides feedback to RCA teams

Participates in risk assessments according to legislation and company requirements to improve safety

Maintains good housekeeping and adheres to waste disposal procedures

Contribute to the development of training modules

Conduct on the job coaching of commissioning and production team and learners

Attends and interacts in Deviations Analysis and Root Cause Analysis to improve plant safety and stability

Play an appropriate main role during emergency situations to get the plant back online

Give and receive feedback to other disciplines (partners on daily issues)
