Job Purpose

To provide technical support for efficient planning, monitoring and analysis of project financial performance to enhance optimal use of financial resources.

Standard Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Project Management, or another relevant field.
  • Experience: Four or more years of progressively responsible support work experience in general administrative work, including at least two years in Budget and Programming, Finance, Banking, or another related field.
  • Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Portuguese languages.

Desired Experiences for entry into the role

  •  Has assisted with the preparation of financial documents;
  •  Has supported the performance of budget analyses;
  •  Has contributed to the collection of pipeline data;

Key Accountabilities (not all-inclusive)

  •  Provide direct support to the Programme Unit responding to different tasks and requests;
  •  Provide general support, monitor, and update of internal tools that facilitate the information, funds, and grants management;
  •  Support on the preparation of basic financial analysis to ensure resources optimization;
  •  Respond to daily requests on general matters;
  •  Follow up on pending justifications from different units and filed offices to ensure that funds are consumed before the expiration date and process are closed obeying the internal compliance;
  •  Provide support on the update of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc files with current information as requested;
  •  Enter accurate data in the corporate systems within the established deadlines, to enable easy access to information and support planning and decision-making;
  •  Maintain communication with a number of individuals regarding project funds management matters and related processes to clarify any discrepancies and optimize use of funds;
  •  Compile data and provide basic analysis, maintain accurate records and files and prepare periodic and ad hoc reports for further reviews to support accuracy and efficiency of information presented to internal and external stakeholder;
  •  Provide guidance and on-the-job training to other staff in budget planning, fund management and operational planning, to support continued development and consistency in services delivered;
  •  Perform other duties as required.
