Main Responsibilities Or Functions Of Job
- Ensure that all employees conduct all their tasks in a safe and responsible way.
- Adhere to all legal requirements and regulations.
- Adhere to Epiroc Company Rules and regulations
- Cleanliness of the workshop and storage area / Good housekeeping
- Maintain a high level of environmental responsibility.
- Manage the relationship between Epiroc and Customer to the benefit of both companies.
- Enforce Epiroc policies and guidelines as described in “The Epiroc Way”
- Maintain high quality of service delivered by Epiroc under all circumstances.
- Ensure that all employees in area of responsibility maintain a high ethical standard.
- Manage all Epiroc labour, ensuring that all tasks are effective and performed efficiently.
- Coach and train staff.
- Maintain good morale under all employees.
- Record keeping of all machine data and performance.
- Compile daily after shift report to Epiroc Contract manager
- Expected to assist in other areas/divisions in the company when needed.
- Supervise and manage maintenance and breakdown staff
- Assist in Repair of breakdowns
- Ensure work procedures are in accordance with the ISO requirements
- Responsible for cost management of effective maintenance repairs and extension of components’ life
- Compile failure reports and recommended corrective actions
- Assist the Maintenance planner in compiling reports and feedback to the maintenance planning system
- Report and manage damages on machines and equipment
- Ensure quality Preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out at all times
- Ability to do warranty claims, Raise Acign and make follow ups
- Organising and closing of work orders after completion of task by staffs
- Ensure all operational vehicles and company asset under his jurisdiction are properly managed and taken care of
- Ensure all machines hours are updated in Epiroc fleetsync on timely basis.
- Practice and adhere to Mine drug and alcohol free policy
Requirements and Capabilities
- Strong technical knowledge in the following Equipment: (AtlasCopco/Epiroc Rotary and Blast hole drilling :Pit viper 275,271,DM50,DM45,DM30’s,ROC F9 and PowerROC T35)
- Trade qualified artisan and Technical hands on experience
- Valid driver’s licence
- Good product knowledge and it applications
- Ability to read integrated hydraulic schematics and electrical schematics
- Service level One and Level Two certified is a plus
- Computer literate (Ms word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
- Basic Leadership Training certified is a plus
- Strong knowledge on Technical Know how

- Interpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers
- Ability of creative thinking and open approach to operational actions
- Independence and ability to make decisions under time pressure

Educational Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a minimum of a, T1, T2,T3, G12, or Diploma in a Technical Course with three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- To ensure efficient and cost effective machine maintenance of the Service Contract
- On the job training and coaching
- Ensure all legal documentation for site maintenance is adhered to
- Ensure that all labours hours are correctly filled in by service technicians
- Participate in safety inspections and behavioural dialogue
- Ensure adherence to Safety standards and procedure at all time by service technicians
- Ensure all operational vehicles and company asset under his jurisdiction are properly managed and taken care of
